Alicia Viani, LCSW
Alicia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a provider of psychotherapy to individual children, teens and adults; as well as to couples and families. Her clinical style is rooted in mindfulness and body-based practices. She works to develop a personalized plan with each person to support their own healing and therapy goals. Her work is grounded in helping each client build awareness of their needs in order to make more positive choices to increase life satisfaction.
She holistically incorporates a variety of approaches, such as: trauma incorporated care, Gestalt therapy, attachment therapies, family systems perspectives, child and play therapies, skills building, Emotionally-Focused therapy, and therapies that address the neurobiological impact of stress and trauma. She is experienced in treating issues related to trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, existential and identity concerns, relationship and family, work, school, life changes or transition distress, parenting, and environmental or psychosocial stressors.
Alicia has facilitated parenting groups, groups on authentic connections for women, emotional regulation groups for children, and relationship building insight-oriented process groups for teens. Alicia has conducted research in Finland and written about how to support young women with healthy development of sexuality. She is committed to supporting clients representing all ethnicities, incomes, gender identities, abilities, spiritual beliefs, ages, sexual orientation, as well as all family make-ups (i.e blended, foster, adoptive, biological, LGBTQQ, monogamous, and polyamorous).
Alicia Viani also provides therapeutic services and facilitation to musicians and bands in the industry to empower individuals and groups to better approach relational or emotional health obstacles that get in the way of creative flow and artistic productivity.
