Erika Messih, LMFT (she/her)

Erika is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon. As an LMFT, she has been trained in psychotherapy with an emphasis in family systems and relationship issues. Erika has been working in the field of counseling for many years and has a wide range of experience including individual psychotherapy, child and couples counseling, and bereavement counseling. She works with all populations including individuals, couples and families, children and teens.

Erika holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, California with an emphasis in Counseling Psychology. She continues her on-going professional development through various workshops, seminars and trainings.

Erika is committed to providing the upmost respect and quality of care for her client’s mental and emotional healthcare needs. She utilizes various therapeutic modalities including Solution-Focused therapy, Family Systems, Play therapy, Attachment therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Gottman and EFT Couples Therapy. She works collaboratively with clients to tailor treatment according to their individual goals and needs, and to provide the most appropriate and relevant treatment. Through compassion, empathy, support, and practical feedback, she works to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals and optimize their emotional health and well-being.

Although Erika has been at Bend Family Therapy since 2015, she took a brief hiatus to Costa Rica where she and her family resided for six months. Erika has been married for over 20 years and is a mother of three teenagers.
